Homes face a street.
Residential blocks connect to schools, clinics, laundries, shared kitchens and quiet planted gardens through short walkways. A corridor is more than an evacuation route; it is a neighbourhood street where people meet.
01 / Not a lunar base. A layered urban region.
Underground lava tubes, surface industry and orbital transport.
Three environments form one connected city for lunar life.

From the surface to −900 m, monitored structural buffers separate the city's functional depth layers.
CITY ATLAS / URBAN SCALE
Marius Arc is not a single oversized facility. Everyday life stays local while transit, logistics and emergency routes are shared across the city.
MARIUS ARC / DISTRICT REGISTRY
ARC–01 to 18 occupy several depths below the lunar surface. Shafts and ring transit connect surface systems, primary habitation and deep reserves; ARC–19 is the surface gateway between the spaceport and the underground city. Retained-rock buffer zones separate the functional layers, carrying only monitoring galleries, utilities, lifts and emergency routes. These transition layers provide transfer, structural stability and pressure-zone isolation; they are not missing intervals. Primary habitation lies 520–700 m below the surface.
City council, public services, the central library and a regional shelter form the civic heart.

Habitation core / Food + water district / Port / city interface
A neighbourhood for 400–800 people, with homes, school, clinic, shared kitchen and planted court within walking distance.
Water treatment, greenhouses, storage and everyday shops sit together, making essentials part of the local landscape.
Passengers, cargo, inspection and maintenance arrive through separate paths, keeping spaceport speed out of quiet residential streets.
URBAN CIRCULATION
School, food, care, repair and play connect through ordinary walking. Movement is also how people learn their city.
Food, materials and waste move on service spines separate from resident streets, protecting both quiet and reliability.
Each district can isolate itself and has two evacuation paths. Emergency routes overlap with familiar everyday routes.
